ABB SCYC51213 63911607C FIRING UNIT Board Description: SCYC51213 is designed as ABB firing unit board. It is belong to ABB Vector control computer. Functionally the cycloconverter drive can be divided in to following parts: Propulsion Motor, Cycloconverter, Excitation unit, System control computer and Vector control computer. The system control computer receives speed reference signal nreffrom selected control place (from leveror superior system), compares it with the actual value nact. received from the propulsion motor andgenerates the torque reference Tref so that the desired speed is reached. The system control computer takes also care of the overload protection of the supplying network and generators. The torque referenceis transmitted to Vector control computer. The vector control computer calculates the firing control signals for firing pulse control of the Cycloconverter phase units (A1-A3, B1-83 and C1-C3) and the excitation firing pulse control. The firing pulse controls are calculated so that desired magnetic flux and torque are reached. The magnetic flux ofthe motor is calculated based on the feedback values of the phase currents iA-act..ic-act, phasevoltages uA-act..uC-act, excitation current ie-act, shaft position angle λ and machine parameters.
