Description:
The IS200DSFCG1A 1000/1800 Amp IGBT Gate Driver/Shunt Feedback Board (DSFC) incorporates a current sensing circuit, a fault detection circuit, and two IGBT gate drive circuits. Both the driver and feedback circuits feature galvanic and optical isolation. Engineered for use with 1000 Amp and 1800 Amp Innovation Series Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) source bridges and AC drives, the board interfaces with the drive control system via the IS200BPIB Drive Bridge Personality Interface Board (BPIB).

A 1000 A source bridge or drive requires three IS200DSFCG1A boards—one per phase. For 1800 A source bridges or drives, six IS200DSFCG1A boards are needed, with two "daisy chained" units allocated to each phase. The IS200DSFCG1A (G1) is specifically intended for drive/source applications operating with a 600 VLL rms AC input.

Mounted directly to the upper and lower IGBT modules in each phase leg, the IS200DSFCG1A minimizes the length of driver output and shunt input connections. The board is secured in place through its connections to the IGBT’s gate, emitter, and collector terminals. Proper board orientation—specifically aligning the mounting holes for the gate, emitter, and collector connections—is critical for correct installation.
