Description:

The IQS450 204-450-000-001 is a signal conditioner designed for non-contact eddy-current proximity measurement systems. Rather than measuring vibration as a standalone sensor, it works between the proximity probe and the monitoring system, providing the electrical interface required to turn probe measurements into usable displacement-related signals.


The conditioner contains a high-frequency modulator/demodulator that provides the excitation required by the connected proximity probe. When matched with the appropriate probe and extension cable, it forms a calibrated measurement chain for monitoring the distance between the probe tip and a metallic target such as a rotating shaft.


With a frequency response extending from DC to 20 kHz (-3 dB), the IQS450 can support both relatively slow shaft-position changes and dynamic measurements associated with rotating machinery. Voltage or current output configurations are available, depending on the selected version.
