Description:
IS230PCAAH1A is designed as GE MarK VIe series Core Analog I/O Assembly module. IS230PCAAH1A together with its companion Core Analog (TCAS and TCAT) terminal board, delivers most of the analog signal input/output (I/O) needed to run a gas turbine. Specifically, the IS230PCAAH1A and TCAT handle thermocouple inputs, 4-20 mA current loop I/O, seismic inputs, Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) excitation and corresponding inputs, pulse rate inputs, and servo coil outputs. IS230PCAAH1A is versatile enough for use in simplex, dual, and TMR (Triple Modular Redundant) systems. A single TCAT terminal board distributes signal inputs to one, two, or three connected IS230PCAAH1A modules. For additional connectivity, the shield ground and 24 V field power terminals located on the adjacent JGPA board complement the terminals integrated into the IS230PCAAH1A and TCAT.

IS230PCAAH1A including a processor board common to all Mark* VIe distributed I/O, two application I/O boards, and a terminal board. The complete module, IS230PCAAH1A, is regarded as the least replaceable unit and there is no support provided to diagnose or replace the individual boards making up the module.

1. How to configurate the IS230PCAAH1A?
IS230PCAAH1A can interface to several different types of 4-20 mA transmitters. Each input has a jumper next to the terminals that is used to determine if the return terminal is grounded or floating. The default position of the jumper is floating or open. The JGPA
board provides twelve 24 V dc terminals, one for each 4-20 mA transmitter input. The last two 4-20 mA inputs on PCAA feature an additional jumper that removes the 250 Ω burden resistor for ±10 V dc input applications. When the jumper is in the MA position, the input behaves the same as the first ten inputs. When the jumper is in the VOLT position the burden resistor is removed and the input acts as a voltage input.
