CA134 144-134-000-203 High-temperature Piezoelectric accelerometer
Description:
CA134 144-134-000-203 is designed as a Piezoelectric accelerometer transducer avaialbe for measuring absolute vibration. Famous for its wide operating temperature range (-196 °C to +620 °C) and compatibility with vibration frequencies as high as 20 kHz, the CA134 delivers reliable performance under extreme conditions.
There are 2 types of CA134,
(1) Sensor only with the ordering number 144-134-000-203
(2) 2 meters Integral mineral-insulated (MI) cable, the ordering number is 144-134-000-613
Both type of CA134 can be used in hazardous areas.
Major features:
▪ Designed for long-term monitoring and measurement of vibration
▪ Sensitivity: 10 pC/g
▪ Wide temperature ranges : −54 to 500 °C
−253 °C (20 K) to 500 °C for cryogenic version
▪ Frequency response: 0.5 to 6 000 Hz
▪ Ex certified for use in hazardous areas
Applications:
CA134 is situable for monitoring and measurement of vibration in severe environments, such as cryogenic applications, Electric motors, Combustion engines, gas turbines, Steam turbines and Compressors.
Measurement Principle:
CA134 assembled with quartz or ceramic crystals and seismic mass, relies on the piezoelectric effect for detection. Vibrations exert compressive or shear stress on pre-stressed crystals, producing electric charges proportional to acceleration. Its performance varies by structure, crystal configuration and mass. It supports -196°C to +620°C working temperature and 3–20kHz+ frequency. It accurately measures absolute bearing and shaft vibration; bearings act as optimal test points linking machine stators and rotors.
Recommended cable assemblies:
CA134 144-134-000-203 compatible with the cable assemblies EC069, EC112, EC119, EC222 or EC390, the extension cable assemblies EC119, EC222 or EC390.
